The purpose of the Oklahoma Texas Longhorn Breeders Association (OTLA) is to preseve and promote the Texas Longhorn Breed. This may be done by organizing and conducting shows, farm tours, field days or any other legal and honorable means. It shall, at all times, function for the benefit of the breed and its members collectively. It shall operate in harmony and good standing with the Texas Breeders Association of America (TLBAA), which is the parent organization and an offical registry for Texas Longhorn cattle. At no time shall it (OTLA) be construed to be a registry or in competition with the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America.
